What is the 4-line system?

The 4-line system provides four horizontal lines per row, creating three writing zones. The optional red baseline helps beginners place letters correctly on the line.

Which ruling should I choose?

Use the 4-line system while children are still learning letter shapes, and the 2-line system once they need less support. Set the band height to match their handwriting size. For plain ruled lines, use our lined paper instead.
